WASHINGTON —U. S. health officials are recommending that men and women who use Viagra avoid it, a move that would allow them to buy the pills for as much as 15 times as many trips to the doctor as they did with the drugs they take.
“I’m not sure if I can buy Viagra on the street or whether it’s illegal in the U. S.,” said Dr. John Lechleiter, a U. physician who has seen Viagra users for decades and has prescribe them the pills.
Viagra has become a household name in America, but drug companies are not allowed to sell them without a doctor’s prescription, he said. Many men don’t even need a prescription.
But doctors say they’re more comfortable with the practice than the pills.
“I’m not comfortable buying Viagra on the street,” said Dr. Michael Reilbach, a urologist at the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor, Mich., hospital. “I’ve seen Viagra and the pills.”
Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs are available without a prescription at some pharmacies, but Reilbach said many companies do carry the pills.
“The only other option is buying Viagra in person,” Reilbach said. “That’s the way the drug companies are.”
Viagra is the brand name for the drug sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. In addition to treating erectile dysfunction, sildenafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis. It works by relaxing muscles in the walls of blood vessels.
Viagra is the active ingredient in the brand name drug Levitra. The generic version, Vardenafil, is also available in a different strength, called Stendra, and it’s sold in many stores.
Viagra is a popular brand name for the drug in some countries, but Reilbach said some pharmacies carry the pills. Most are small, but others are larger than that and carry the generic version. It costs more than most people.
The pills work by relaxing muscles in the blood vessels, which dilate blood vessels. The muscles relax and blood flows to the penis. When sexually aroused, the muscles relax and blood flows to the penis.
The pills can be taken with or without food. But they can be taken with or without a glass of water. They can cause an erection just before intercourse.
Viagra works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps men to get and keep an erection. But the effects aren’t immediate.
Men who take the pills typically experience mild side effects like dizziness, headache, and flushing. Other side effects include stomach upset, nausea, and nasal congestion.
Dr. David D’Amico, an assistant professor of urology at the University of Michigan, said doctors rarely prescribe Viagra in pill form.
“The FDA’s process is unique,” he said. “They don’t go in with the FDA’s requirement that all medications must have a prescription in order to be considered a safe and effective treatment for sexual dysfunction.”
Viagra’s manufacturer, Pfizer, makes a few pills of the drug that are sold as a blue pill, but not at CVS, Walgreens, or Walmart. CVS sells the pills without a prescription in some places.
Pfizer says the pills are available in a variety of doses, from 25 milligrams to 50 milligrams, and most often work about four to six hours after taking the drug. Pfizer also offers a variety of other dosages, including the more powerful 50 milligram pills that have a half-life of about 6.5 hours.
Viagra is a prescription-only drug and has to be taken orally with a glass of water, which may lead to dehydration and possible side effects.
Pfizer is not required to have a doctor’s prescription for the pill. A prescription can be obtained by calling toll-free 1-800-267-9660.
But Reilbach said some men may have trouble swallowing the pills. “They’re not hard and they can’t swallow the pills.
If you’re a woman who’s ever struggled with sexual desire, feeling turned on, or enjoying sex (either with yourself, or with a partner), you may have wondered whether there’s a simple treatment out there that can help. Men have Viagra, after all—where’s Viagra for women? We’ve got good news for you! There literally is and now it’s available through Wisp! Our new OMG! Cream uses Viagra’s active ingredient, Sildenafil, in a topical form. Feeling titillated? Read on!
Before we get into our new treatment, we want to talk a little bit about why we’re offering OMG! Cream—namely, the Orgasm Gap. You may have seen some headlines about it over the past few years.
The Orgasm Gap refers to the reported gap in pleasure within heterosexual sexual encounters. And, unfortunately, plenty of surveys and studies exist to confirm the fact that if you don’t have a penis, you’re less likely to orgasm during sex. A 2018 US national sample asked over 50,000 participants about their orgasm rates—with some unsatisfying results!
, 95% of heterosexual men said they usually or always orgasmed with sex. And that’s great! But, the numbers decline from there. Next in line were gay men (89%), bisexual men (88%), lesbian women (86%), bisexual women (66%), and heterosexual women (65%).That means 35% of heterosexual women in this study–and 34% of bi women–don’t usually orgasm during sex.We aren’t satisfied with that, and it sounds like many of you aren’t either!
Sexuality is personal and intimate (and sometimes confusing, fuzzy, vulnerable, and empowering). Even though everyone’s experience with sex is their own, the Orgasm Gap isprettyyydarn persistent and widespread. What can we conclude from that? Well, social dynamics and expectations are everywhere–including the bedroom.
Gender norms have come a long way in recent years, but 100% equality isn’t quite here. With that comes the idea that men’s orgasms are natural, easy, and expected. And women’s orgasms? They’re. It’s time to bust that myth!
For most women, penetration alone isn’t a sure way to reach orgasm. What can you do instead? Focus on the clitoris!Stimulating the clit with hands, vibrators, tongues, or a combination is a more reliable way for most women to orgasm (with to prove it 😉).
There are lots of factors that can affect sexual pleasure in a relationship—communication, stress, new medications, aging, or partners who just dont care. We can’t fix it all, but one thing we can do is put the power in your hands by making it as easy as possible for you to get off when you want to.
OMG! Cream is a lightweight topical cream that increases blood flow to the clitoris, thereby increasing your sensitivity and heightening pleasure. It contains Sildenafil, the same active ingredient that’s used in Viagra to boost blood flow to the penis and make erections easier to achieve during sex. Unlike the lubes or gels you may see in your local drugstore, OMG! Cream doesn’t rely on tingling peppermint or other essential oils to create sensitivity—Sildenafil is the real deal. This prescription-only ingredient helps dilate the blood vessels in and around your genitals to increase sensation and make it easier for you to achieve orgasm.
You may have heard of other similar topical prescription creams sometimes referred to as While OMG! Cream uses the same active ingredient as some of those other treatments, it includes one important difference—OMG! Cream doesn’t contain arginine, an amino acid that can increase the frequency and severity of herpes outbreaks. If you’re someone who deals with herpes outbreaks, OMG! Cream is perfectly safe for you to use!

A few days ago I was interviewed by aextremely well-known British online news website which said: “Viagra is a game-changer for men suffering from erectile dysfunction. It’s a unique solution for improving sexual performance in men who don’t want to touch much with children.” It turned out to be quite aaleke for the occasion!
What Ianto de Saúde has a ton of well-intentioned interviews which start as follows:
Q: How do you feel about Viagra? A: I had a very rough start to my sexual life, mainly because of my age and I’m not very good at it. I’m not very good at it at all.
Q: How long have you had problems with Erectile Dysfunction? A: For a long time, I was struggling with it and it got very bothersome, but now it’s starting to work well for me. It’s not really causing problems at all but I’m definitely learning more about ED treatments such as Cialis and Levitra.
Q: What are some good ED treatments which you’ve tried? A: I’ve tried Viagra and Cialis. I’ve tried Levitra and Cialis. I’ve tried Levitra and vardenafil. I’ve tried Vardenafil and Cialis. I’ve tried vardenafil and tadalafil.
Q: Where can I get these treatments if I don’t need them? A: I can’t get them in most of the countries which are not part of the EU.
Q: Are there any good alternatives to Viagra which haven’t been used? A: I’m trying to find something which is cheaper than Viagra.
Q: Are there any cheaper versions of Viagra? A: I’ve tried Tadalafil, Cialis, Vardenafil. I tried both at once.
In general, what you can try is always going to be well-tolerated, so always keep in mind not to touch anything that might cause you a problem.
My advice to those who are struggling with erectile dysfunction is always talk to your GP or a sexual health professional. Don’t take anything for it, especially if you’re suffering from a medical problem which could be life-threatening if not treated at the wrong time.
